INTEGRATIVE FACIALIST by Melissa Jane.
Integrative Facialist® is a fascia-focused facial wellness studio in Bentleigh, Melbourne, specialising in the skin–gut–mind axis for women in seasons of stress, perimenopause, menopause and recovery. We combine advanced fascia release, facial lymphatic drainage, somatic coaching, breathwork, face yoga and evidence-based skincare to calm the nervous system, de-puff and sculpt the face, and support deeper emotional regulation.
Every session is high-touch, trauma-informed and intentionally curated for women’s health. We focus on clearing stagnation, improving circulation, shifting long-held stress patterns in the jaw, neck and chest, and bringing your whole system back online so your skin can actually function and heal. The goal is simple: less tension, better flow, a regulated nervous system – and skin that finally reflects how hard you’ve been working on yourself.

Who is Melissa Jane?
Melissa Jane, known as The Integrative Facialist®, has spent almost four decades at the intersection of clinical aesthetics, women’s health, and mental well-being. Entering the beauty industry at just 15 and now 54, she has become a quiet force in the active-ageing and integrative wellness space, working particularly with women over 40 to navigate hormonal change, skin ageing, and emotional transitions.
Over 16 years, Melissa owned and operated multiple skincare clinics, wellness spaces, and a wellness café while raising two children. Her children now joke that "Mum is finally in style," as her once ahead-of-its-time love for biohacking, fascia work, and integrative health has moved firmly into the mainstream and is increasingly welcomed in clinical, community, and corporate settings.
Melissa’s approach is supported by rigorous training and a strong evidence base. She is a registered nutritionist, a certified health and menopause health coach, a registered skin aesthetician, an UltraLite practitioner, and a MenoChef practitioner with advanced training in buccal massage and non-invasive sculptural and lifting facial techniques. She is also a qualified trainer and assessor and a mental health first aid trainer, educating workplaces and communities in mental health literacy and early-intervention support. Currently completing a Bachelor of Psychological Science, she continues to deepen the scientific foundations behind her integrative, nervous-system-first practice.
Behind the credentials sits a very human story. Melissa has lived most of her life in a body navigating complex hormonal disruption, including severe endometriosis that contributed to ongoing health challenges and skin issues.
Moving through chronic pain, fatigue, hormonal chaos, and repeated "crash and rebuild" cycles gave her a lived understanding of how skin changes under stress, how gut diversity is impacted, and how closely this all ties into anxiety, mood, and mental health. This is not a theory for her; it’s a biography. That embodied experience is her “why” for the work she does and the reason she is so committed to an integrative, compassionate model of care.
With all her credentials, Melissa remains grounded and deeply pragmatic. She never takes any opportunity or any client’s trust for granted. Her experiences of loss, burnout, health crises, reinvention, and mental health challenges have shaped both her values and her methods, forming an evidence-based, trauma-aware, and lived experience-led approach that resonates strongly with the women she supports.
Her mission is clear: to normalise ageing; to normalise conversations about mental health; and to reframe active ageing as an accessible form of self-agency, not vanity. In her boutique integrative practice, Melissa blends fascial release, lymphatic therapy, clinical skincare, nutrition, and emotional hygiene to create results that are felt as much as they are seen.
When asked to describe what she does, Melissa’s clients often say it’s difficult to put into words: “It’s hard to explain – you just need to book in and experience it. It’s different every time, but wow is all I can say. The way Melissa works is very gentle, kind, and loving. I’ve never experienced that with any skin therapist I’ve seen before.”
For Melissa, working with the fascia and lymphatic system isn’t a trend; it’s a philosophy. She describes it as “the closest thing we have to a fountain of youth elixir” – not because it erases age but because it helps women move, feel, and live with more ease, confidence, and vitality at every stage of life.
